This year was never about fantastic business growth...it was survival.

Having a small business and a new baby is hard enough. Evie was in our Nantwich shop from 4 weeks old, 5 days a week. We breastfed while you shopped. We locked the front door during meltdowns. We bounced while we set up displays. We offered free delivery when we were in hospital.

Now, add in a cost of living crisis, supply chain delays, supplier closures and ultimately an email from our landlord in April and that changed everything...

Our rent was going to increase by a rumoured 120% in January 2026. An increase that simply meant we wouldn't survive as we were.

This began a 5 month long business reinvention that pushed me to every known limit...

Play is at the heart of what we do, but so is community. Without these two elements, Bizzybods couldn't have survived our 20 years of business.

We have been given the opportunity and sheer delight to partner with another local mum and business owner to bring these two elements together again: Nantwich’s newest play café...Bizzy's Play Café 🐝

Picture this: a warm, welcoming space in the heart of Nantwich where children aged 0-7 can play, explore and grow through imaginative, screen-free play - while parents sip quality coffee, enjoy wholesome food and breathe for a moment. That’s the world we’re building at Bizzy’s Play Café.

Thanks to external investment, this project is going ahead. But how warm, magical and community-rooted it feels - this is where you come in.

We want the community to be a part of it from the beginning. This is why we are crowdfunding - not to make this business possible...

But to make it Nantwich.
