Delivery and Collection available. A & C Aggregates began trading in the spring of 2003. The company was the brainchild of GD Harries Owner and Director Mr Ian Harries, and his wife, Mrs Julie Harries who realised there was a market for the provision of decorative gravels and decided to compliment these products with those required for the building trade, such as limestone chippings, sand and concrete blocks. The Name “A & C” has been taken from the first initials of their two daughters, Amy & Charlotte. Initially operations were split between offices at Rowlands View and Blaencilgoed Quarry nearby in Ludchurch. In January 2009 both we and GD Harries relocated to a newly developed site at Rowlands View and the company has grown from there. A Manitou followed by a larger JCB were purchased and fitted with weighing systems to do away with the need for a large weighbridge system and enable us to offer a comprehensive service of not just delivered loose and bagged products but also collections for customers ranging from large lorries to small trailers with exactly the amount required. Via our two bagging plants we are able to offer our products in large bulk bags and also small 25kg handy bags for customer’s convenience. To allow ourselves to compliment the production of large bulk bags a delivery lorry was bought with an attached HIAB lifting service which enables us to offer excellent service with bags delivered direct to your door at a time to suit you. Adding to the HIAB this lorry can also take smaller loose loads with anything from 1 tonne up to 8.5 tonnes of loose products also catered for by this vehicle. A Larger 6 wheel lorry was then added to allow us to offer delivery of quantities of up to 16 tonnes delivered at any one time, couple these vehicles in with the access we have to the extensive fleet of vehicles, from large artic lorries to small transit tippers, at parent company GD Harries and it’s easy to see that no job is too big or small for us. Alongside this an agreement was struck with a local long distance haulage company to deliver palletised products anywhere in the UK. Since relocating the product range has been enhanced to include a whole range of landscaping products form natural stone and concrete paving slabs to block paving to edging kerbs and coping stones. Deals have been struck with quarries all over the UK to allow us to offer excellent quality decorative gravels and also building stones at competitive prices. More and more products are added all the time with water features, monoliths and slate tables the newest edition to our extensive range of garden and landscaping products to complement our ever growing range of building products. So why not drop by and have a look for yourselves, we can be found between Narberth & Templeton on the A478 and also our new depots which can be found at Bolton Hill Quarry, Tiers Cross Haverfordwest and Cwmffrwd just outside Carmarthen on the A484 SA32 8DJ.
