End of season for Alresford RFC U12s. Their wonderful coach Reesie, who has done so much for this group of boys, ably assisted by Ed and Mike, teaching his ‘legends’ how to play the game as well as building their confidence and encourage them at every opportunity, commissioned these old school rugby shirts out of his own pocket. The boys were super chuffed and know how lucky they have been to have such an amazing coach and mentor since they first crossed the white wash as U7s. Well done Reesie, you deserve a break and thank you for everything you have done for these boys.

Spain’s national rugby union team nicknamed Los Leones (The Lions) played their first international match against Italy on 20th May 1929 in Barcelona, winning 9-0. Rugby had been played in Spain earlier though with recorded matches in 1901. Playing in customary red ‘home’ shirts or a change strip of dark yellow with navy trim, the elegant lion has changed little over the years.
