The key is using the right products in the right order.

Start with Liberon Floor Sealer to help protect the timber against everyday wear and tear while enhancing its natural colour. Once the final coat has hardened, follow with Liberon Floor Wax to feed and protect the wood while creating that traditional soft, natural sheen.

A few tips to remember 👇

✔️ Always start with a clean, dry and dust-free surface
✔️ Apply Floor Sealer in the direction of the grain and wipe away any excess
✔️ Allow the final coat to harden for 24 hours before waxing
✔️ Apply Floor Wax in thin coats, then buff to your desired level of sheen

Celebrating the next generation of furniture makers 🪵👏

Liberon recently partnered with Robinson House Studio Furniture School to challenge students on its professional furniture-making course to put their skills to the test.

Seven learners were tasked with designing and creating their own wall cabinet, bringing together skills including veneering, hinge application and carcass construction, before completing their pieces with Liberon Finishing Oil.

Congratulations to Piers Reid, whose impressive compass design was awarded first place, and runner-up Will Franklin, who incorporated an intricate hand-cut starburst veneer pattern into his cabinet. Both projects demonstrated fantastic skill, precision and craftsmanship.

As part of the competition, both students received a £50 Amazon voucher, with Piers also taking home a bundle of Liberon woodcare products.

It’s fantastic to see Liberon products being used by the next generation of professional woodworkers and to support students as they develop their craft.

Top tip when using wood dyes

Always test the product on a spare piece of wood or an inconspicuous area before application. Different timber species absorb dye differently, which means the final colour and finish can vary.
