All the whites, with just a touch of lemon, for the lovely K&M 🤍🍋
Fresh-from-the-field florals, picked, conditioned and delivered less than 5 miles away. There’s something so special about seeing a bride’s bouquet grown from seed, nurtured with love and delivered locally.
From seed to bouquet — grown, picked and enjoyed close to home. 🌿🤍

Ammi majus is such a popular cut flower stem, but unfortunately for us it suffers badly from the dreaded carrot root fly.
We’ve had much better success growing it in the polytunnel, so this year we decided to try something a little different outside. We planted a barrier of Agrostis nebulosa, otherwise known as cloud grass or fibre optic grass, in the hope that it would help protect the Ammi from the carrot root fly.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work as planned! The cloud grass simply wasn’t tall enough, quickly enough, to provide the barrier we needed.
The good news is that we’ve ended up with a wonderful crop of cloud grass to dry for winter use — so not a complete failure! 🌾
Next year we’ll try again, but this time with a faster-growing, taller crop to create a more effective barrier.
Sometimes in the garden, the experiments that don’t quite work still give you something beautiful. 💚

A bride's bouquet is always a florist's priority. For me, it's a moment of calm when most of the wedding flowers are complete. My sole focus turns to that one bouquet.
I love quietly hand-selecting every stem, considering the different forms, textures, colour tones, and those special details that make each flower unique. As I gather them, I picture the shape, the movement, and the way the bouquet will come to life in the bride's hands.
From the flower field and garden, more than 50 stems are carefully chosen to create this bouquet—a colourful, seasonal garden-style design, filled with natural beauty, texture, and movement. Every stem has its place, and every bouquet tells its own story.

Another busy week harvesting orders! 🌸
Picking the perfect colour palettes can be a time-consuming challenge, but seeing all the orders together—fully conditioned and ready for collection the next morning—makes it all worthwhile.
It's always a proud moment and a reminder of the care that goes into every single order. 💐
Today I’m looking forward to sharing a few stems with Peterborough Floral Decoration Society in my demonstration ‘Coronation Calamities’ 2pm ,St Andrews,Ledbury Road,Peterborough . 🌸🌸🌸

Preserving these beautiful Zinnias to enjoy throughout the winter! 🌸
This time I'm using silica sand to help keep their colour and shape. I left these in the sand for 3 days. You can simply hang bunches up to air dry, but they often lose their form, so I decided to try this method for the first time.
I'm absolutely over the moon with the results! I can't wait to use these dried blooms in my winter arrangements. 💐✨

A wonderful day of celebration with Nottinghamshire Young Farmers as they marked an incredible 80 years.
The celebrations began with a fabulous black-tie ball back in June, and yesterday saw many of the founders travel from far and wide to reunite, reminisce about their Young Farmers days, and catch up with friends whose bonds have stood the test of time through the farming community.
It was a real pleasure to see so many familiar faces, share stories, and reflect on the importance of bringing generations together. Young and old alike each have a valuable role to play, and together they continue to make a real difference.
Here's to 80 years of friendship, community, and supporting the next generation of farming.

Pressed flowers are a beautiful way to preserve both petals and precious memories. 🌸
It was so lovely to welcome our ladies back for Part 2 of the workshop and see the excitement as they opened their flower presses after six weeks to reveal their beautifully preserved blooms.
I also had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful hen party, using flowers from my own pressed collection. Such a lovely way to celebrate the bride-to-be with creativity, laughter, and time spent together.
Beautiful keepsakes, happy memories, and lots of floral inspiration. 💐✨

This week's picks from the flower field have been wonderfully colourful, with the dahlias just about to start strutting their stuff. 🌸
The zinnias are loving the sunshine, showing off a beautiful mix of colours, from soft pastels to vibrant brights.
Every stem is carefully harvested and conditioned before being collected and sent on its final journey, ready to brighten someone's day. 💐

Wonderful to welcome visitors back from the South Notts Flower Club. The weather was just perfect for touring the garden and flower fields, followed by a delicious lunch.
Our hand-tied bouquet raffle raised an amazing £157 for our breast cancer charity. Thank you to everyone for your generosity and support—it truly makes a difference. 🌸💕
