Have you heard the story?
Less than 10 miles outside newark in the village of Bottesford, in St Mary's church you will find the only gravestone that lists the cause of death as " wiked practice & sorcerey ".
A truly spectacular tomb & worth the visit, a important part of our witchcraft history.
Joan Flower was a former servant at Belvoir castle, along with her daughters Margaret & phillipa they were accused of the deaths of the earls sons.
They were walked from Bottesford to Lincoln where they were tried and charged. Poor Joan never made it to Lincoln and is said to be buried at the crossroads at Ancaster.
