Step into the Literature Village at Newark Book Festival!

Our free Literature Village is the perfect place to browse, wander and discover something bookish during the festival weekend.
Where to find us for 2026!

πŸ“ The Colonnades, Newark Town Hall
⏰ 9:30am – 4pm
Find bookish crafts, trinkets, stories and books of all genres inside the entrance to Newark Town Hall, spreading through the lobby, colonnades and prison cells.

πŸ“š Sunday 12th July
πŸ“ Newark Market Place
⏰ 10:00am-3pm
We’re taking over the Newark Royal Market with over 65 local crafts, bookish organisations, authors and books of all genres. You’ll also be able to find the Storybook Emporium by Ally Pally Arts, hosting our special birthday party zone with free children’s crafts and some favourite stories.

Literature Village is free to attend, come along and celebrate our 10th birthday with us! We can’t wait to see you 😊
