Instead of the traditional celebration cake, my customer wanted something a little different — and I absolutely loved creating this beautiful treat box! 🥰

Chocolate-covered cakesicles, strawberries and a personalised 18 — all beautifully decorated and ready to celebrate! 🎉✨

I think these make such a gorgeous alternative to a celebration cake and can be personalised for birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, weddings and so much more. 💕

✨ A little reminder, for anyone chasing a dream, building a business, or simply trying to create a better life for themselves and their family. ✨
Please don’t give up.

There will be days when you question everything. Days where you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and wonder whether all the hard work is actually worth it!
There have been moments where I’ve questioned myself. Moments where I’ve wondered whether I was good enough, whether I was making the right decisions, and whether my vision would ever become reality.
But every single time I’ve wanted to doubt myself, I’ve reminded myself of one thing…
Why I started.

I didn’t build Sweet Occasions just to make cakes.
It is to prove to myself that taking a chance on my dream was worth it. To build something that I’m proud of and something my grandchildren can look at one day and say, “Mimi did that.” ❤️

Since the beginning of 2026, I’ve already achieved goals that I honestly never imagined I’d accomplish in one year, let alone a few months! I’ve set myself another two, that I’m already on my way to ticking off 😃
That doesn’t happen because I’m lucky.
It happens because I kept showing up, even on the days I wanted to quit.
For the last few months, I’ve been pouring my heart into something incredibly special. It’s exciting, it’s scary, and yes, it brings a little bit of change.
But growth doesn’t happen without change.
I have a vision for myself and my business, a journey isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s, and neither is yours.
Comparison steals joy.
Your dream doesn’t have to make sense to everyone else. It only has to make sense to you.
Every baker has their own style. Every business owner has their own path. Every person has their own definition of success.
And that’s exactly how it should be.
I’m so excited about what’s coming next!

Before I finish, I just want to say this,
If you’ve been sitting on a business idea,
If you’ve got a dream that’s been living in your head for months or even years,
If fear, self-doubt, or confidence is the only thing standing in your way,

A little proud moment… ❤️

I made these beautiful hen party biscuits for my gorgeous daughter-in-law-to-be, Kelly. 🥂💍

It was my first time making embossed fondant biscuits like these, so I was a little nervous, but I’m so happy with how they turned out! Every single one was made with lots of love, and seeing the finished result made all the effort worthwhile.
So glad everybody enjoyed them 🍪

As a home baker, everything is baked fresh to order in small batches, so I work on a weekly pre-order basis.

🧁 Monday/Tuesday – I’ll post this week’s menu of delicious seasonal treats.
💌 Please message me to place your order by Wednesday.
📦 Collections are available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday a collection time will be arranged with you.

📮Postage available on selected bakes
