⚠️ ATTENTION LOCAL BUSINESSES & COMMUNITY ⚠️
Please be on high alert. Earlier today, we fell victim to a shoplifting incident at our gift shop.
A woman entered our shop accompanied by a couple of men. She initially looked at a bag and asked for a discount. As a small, family-run business, our products are fairly priced from the start, so I politely explained that we couldn’t offer a discount. Shortly after—while I was at the counter serving one of the men she was with—she helped herself to a "discount" by taking a necklace and hiding it inside a hat she was carrying.
We realized the necklace was missing shortly after they left, but by then, they were gone. We have clear CCTV footage of the entire incident which we have captured in the video below.
As a small family business, any theft hits us hard. Beyond the financial loss, having someone steal from you in your own shop is an incredibly violating, upsetting, and frustrating feeling.
Please keep an eye out for these individuals and remain vigilant in your own shops.
To the person involved: If you happen to see this, we urge you to do the right thing and return or pay for the necklace.
