I didn’t start this to build something massive. I started it because I needed something that worked around my kids. Around the school runs, sick days, and real life.
And now I have something that fits around all of that. No boss to ask and no permission needed.
Just something that works and brings me ✨joy✨

Happy Easter! Hope everyone has had a lovely long weekend 🐣🌸 We’ve been to visit my in-laws, so there’s been lots of wine and good food, long walks and talks, and some sunshine! ☀️ Back home now with two happy and exhausted kids and ready for 2 weeks of school holiday chaos 🤪

🧡Something I didn’t expect when I started this little book business was how much it actually matters.

❤️For every book sold, more books can go into schools and nurseries that really need them. Often there’s no budget for books and libraries, despite everyone being in agreement that reading matters so much, especially at a young age.

💛I LOVE seeing children who are excited to come to my book fairs. I love watching their enthusiasm and I love talking to them about their favourite stories. That’s what makes this feel like the best job in the world.

Reading shouldn’t be a luxury for any child. If you know a nursery or a school who would benefit, message me ✨

Flexible working has honestly changed everything for me 🤍

Between school runs, snack requests, laundry piles and the never ending to-do list, life as a mum is BUSY. But having a business with Usborne means I can fit work around my family- not the other way round.

I can work in the quiet moments (or the chaotic ones 🙈), be present for my children, keep on top of the house (most of the time!), and still build something that’s mine.

No rigid hours. No asking for time off. Just freedom, flexibility and a chance to grow, all while doing something I love 📚

It’s World Book Day! All schools seem to do things differently, but hopefully your schools have all encouraged children to think about their favourite books and stories today, and share them with their friends 💜

However, did you know that 2026 is the National Year of Reading in the UK? It’s a nationwide initiative led by the Department of Education and the National Literacy Trust to combat the decline in reading for pleasure among children and adults.

If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know how passionate I am about children’s literacy and development, particularly in the early years. With 1 in 4 reception age children ‘swiping’ a book instead of turning its pages, now is the time to get behind this campaign and see how your family can grow as confident and curious readers!
