Had an excellent days fishing on the River Swale today with my old man, fishing the Stick float for the first half of the day, catching some quality Perch to 1lb, aswel as Dace, Roach and a Gudgeon.

I switched to ledgered Meat and Corn for the 2nd half of the day, hoping for a Chub or Barbel, I didnt manage any but I did manage to miss a prober bite on the Corn.

Not the biggest bag in the world but fishing the Stick is easily the nicest way to catch fish.

It had been over 20 years since I last fished here and loved every minute of it.

A decent day catching Silvers on the Waggler today.

Around 4lb of Silvers and although they werent the Bream that I was hopeful of, I did manage some cracking Roach and Rudd.

Despite only 2 Skimmers being caught all year before today, me and Wheatley managed 3 out today, this being my first Skimmer of the year from here, Wheatley also managing another 2 Skimmers so hopefully this is a positive sign for the remaining 4 or 5 weeks before the pond switches off.

Had an enjoyable day today on the waggler in difficult, sunny conditions.

I braved the bay when it is usually a no-go in sunny weather and although the Bream didnt show, the Rudd and Roach did!

The silvers always take a while to really kick on but hopefully we get a good couple of months fishing in before the cold weather arrives.

A few more work partys to go and the pond will be looking pristine!
