First peek at my new project, this one is A3 size full face memorial picture of our late Floki the greyhound. I absolutely love starting with the eyes to really bring the picture to life from the beginning 🙂 Can’t wait to share my progress pictures with you all!

Something a bit different on the drawing table tonight 🙂 Sea turtle on grafix drafting film .004 double matte

Trying out some Caren D’ache Neopastels for the background, very fun to use literally scribble the oil pastel on, blend it round with a paper stump, then rub off the excess pigment with kitchen roll. Hands are as blue as a Smurf but loving the intense colour left

On to the turtle next and I’ll be using coloured pencils: Faber Castell polychromos, Caren D’Ache Luminance & Derwent Lightfast
