fair trade, world music instruments. We supply a fantastic ,colourful array of instruments for kids. We sell a range musical accesories,
straps,strings,reeds,rosin,plectrums,cables,amps and more. We also provide an excellent repair service for all stringed instruments,and can customise your instrument with paint jobs,body work,mosaics and inlays-to uniquely suit you!

We are so excited to share with you that our Curvy Sounds Raffle Draw Party is this Sunday 20th September at The Coal Yard, from 5.30pm! 🎉(full address below)

🎟️ TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - please fill out this Google form to reserve your tickets and it’s pay on the door when you arrive!
Tickets are £2 each and all proceeds go to the Rothbury Estate Appeal!
There is a limited number of tickets and it’s first come, first serve!

We are so excited for this event! We have a fabulous evening planned for you filled with love for nature, art, and music!
Our exciting lineup includes Maximo Park, Überloon Muckenfuss, Scott Hepple and The Sun Band, , and 🤩

We will have a special opening performance from the JPA Steel Pan band, a speech from Northumberland Wildlife Trust AND of course, the raffle draw where you could win our shiny custom made Tokai Les Paul guitar among loads of other amazing prizes donated by local business!

During the event, there will be stalls with beautiful artwork made by talented local artists, an arts and crafts stall for all ages, and a plant stall - all to raise even more money for this wonderful cause! 🎨🌳

There is still time to buy raffle tickets, or donate your nature-inspired artwork for our event!

We will continue to sell raffle tickets at the event on Sunday until an hour before the raffle draw but all online purchases will be closed Friday 18th September.

🌷SHOUT OUT TO LOCAL ARTISTS🌷

We are so excited for our Curvy Sounds Raffle Draw Event next week, Sunday 20th September!! Keep an eye out for our poster with all of the information about that very soon!

We will have a stall selling all of these beautiful artworks + many more to raise money for the Rothbury Estate Appeal!
We want to say a big thank you to Kate Dickinson, Harriet Menter, Claire Sarametz, Emma Holiday, Kath Williams, Kubra Mujde, Tara Mills, and Julie Barnes for your lovely donations!

This is a shout out to any local artists who would like to kindly donate any nature inspired artwork to raise even more money for this wonderful cause!

We are so lucky and honoured to have this beautiful Godin 5th Avenue P90 Kingpin Arch-top guitar in Curvy Sounds!
It has generously been donated to us by the brilliant, funny, and talented singer-songwriter to raise even more money for the Rothbury Estate Appeal!! 🤩

Nev said “That whole area around Rothbury is so special, so beautiful, and atmospheric…it’s probably fair to say that visits there as a teenager changed my life”. 🌳🦋

This Godin Arch-top is a gorgeous guitar. Crafted out of Canadian wild cherry - the top and back are molded into an Arch-top, in traditional 50s style. The wood itself is exceptionally resonant, with amazing projection and a rich, warm tone. It is then amplified by a single coil P90 pick up, giving it liquid clarity to its vintage tones…

Nev creates the most beautiful, funny, and poignant songs, often couched in the reality of his everyday observations of life here in the North East. He is a fantastic but humble guitarist and everytime I see him play, I come away chuckling, amused, and moved in equal measure!
On that note, Nev is playing tonight at Star and Shadow Cinema along with some other amazing bands! It is not one to be missed…

Hey Guys the Guitar is finished for the Curvy Sounds Rothbury Estate Appeal Raffle ,as you may have seen on look North ! But need to add what they left out , that we have had huge support from local businesses,artist and musicians who have generously donated more prizes -so if shiny guitars are not your bag, there is much more to be Won !
Gifts have been donated to the raffle by Last Resort and Artichoke Gift shop!Vouchers have been donated by the Tipsy Toad ,Quierdo & Davidson Optometrists,1b Books ,The Dog Grocers ,Body image Fitness,The Butterfly Cabinet, Smoke & Sear, The Handsome Sandwich, The Barn Door, 10ten.
Maximo Park have kindly donated signed Maximo Merch .
Tricia Trotter has given a Gyrocopter flight over the Lake District!
Artists Kate Dickinson,Claire Sarametz, Harriet Menter & Kubra Mugde are also selling works at our shop to raise more for the Rothbury Estate Appeal.

This lush Vantage VS60 ,know as ‘The Witch ‘,has just gone out for sale!
Made in Japan in the famed Matsumoku factory in 1989 .This super cool guitar is made of Japanese Ash & Maple, with go faster Walnut stripes !
Its OH-450 double open coil humbuckers , with 2tone controls ,give it great range -from crystal clear ,with plenty of bite,
to full fat ,rich , punchy tones!

From the 20th we will open by appointment only for the rest of August until I return from London where I’m
looking after my elderly parents !We will resume normal opening ours in September!
