Bonners Piano Centre - Newcastle

One of Kawai’s most popular upright pianos is now available for £9,999 - until October 31st 2026.

The K700 is a firm favourite of ours, and combines a rich, powerful tone with the responsive and controlled feel of Kawai’s acclaimed Millennium III action.

Its 130cm height, sound escapement, and grand-style music desk make it a particularly appealing choice for pianists who want a superb experience without moving to a grand piano.

Kawai's K700 model is available to try in our Newcastle, Milton Keynes, and Reigate showrooms.

We were delighted to welcome Newcastle singer-songwriter Nick Celino and his manager, Culture Club’s Roy Hay, into the store yesterday.

Grammy Award-winner Roy co-wrote some of the biggest songs of the 1980s, including Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, and has been working with Nick on his forthcoming debut album.

Nick also treated us to a few bars of Paul Weller’s beautiful You Do Something to Me. Look out for his new single later this year, followed by the album in the new year—we think you’ll be hearing a lot more from him!

We’ve just finished filming a full review and demo on the new Nord Electro 7… and it’s a much bigger step forward than we expected.

On paper, the upgrades are clear: colour display, new organ engine, redesigned synth section and expanded effects. But what really stands out is how it feels to play. This is the first Electro that genuinely starts to edge into Nord Stage 4 territory in terms of flexibility.

Watch the full video here:

The synth section is the biggest change. It’s no longer just about selecting sounds, you’ve now got proper control to shape them, which makes a real difference in a live setup.

If you’re currently using an older Electro, this is well worth a look.

You can try the Electro 7 in-store at Bonners, or find out more here:

We had a fantastic evening recently at our Newcastle showroom, where pianist Iyad Sughayer gave a live performance on the Yamaha S6X grand piano.

It was one of those events that really reminds you what these instruments are capable of in the hands of a great player. An intimate setting, a full room, and some truly outstanding playing.

We’ve now uploaded the video from the concert to our YouTube channel, so if you couldn’t make it on the night, or you’d like to experience it again, you can watch it here:

The Nord Electro 7 range is now available from Bonners Music in the UK, and it’s a big step forward for one of the most popular stage keyboards ever made. We’re offering excellent trade-in values if you’re upgrading from your current keyboard.

https://www.bonnersmusic.co.uk/blogs/news

The Electro 7 is available in three versions: 61 and 73-note waterfall models, plus the Electro 7 HP with a new lightweight hammer-action keybed developed by Japanese piano maker Kawai.

The organ section is taken directly from the Nord Organ 3 and includes the superb new rotary speaker emulation with multiple mic positions, along with physical drawbars on all models. The piano section supports the Nord Piano Library, and the synth section has been massively expanded with sample, analogue and FM synthesis plus far more hands-on control from the front panel.

Each section now has its own dedicated effects, with global reverb and per-layer send, plus new spring reverb and new amp models. There’s also the very welcome return of Song Mode, which lets you organise sounds into setlists for instant recall on stage and re-order them without altering your original programmes. It’s a feature many Nord users have been asking for, and one that even Stage 4 owners might be a little jealous of.

The Electro 7 is also compatible with Nord’s latest Clavinet samples with key-off noise for even more realism.

All in all, we think the Electro 7 is going to become the go-to stage keyboard for a huge number of players who want world-class organ and piano sounds without the extra complexity of the Stage series.

Our in-depth video demo is coming very soon, but in the meantime you can click the link to find out more about the Electro 7 and register for a free trade-in valuation of your current keyboard.
