POV: You stop rushing for 20 seconds and let Newcastle do its thing. ❤️
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you… Grey Street. 🖤
But this isn’t just a pretty street. 👀
Built in the 1830s as part of Richard Grainger’s transformation of Newcastle, Grey St became one of the finest examples of Victorian-era architecture in the country. Designed by architects including John Dobson, John Wardle and George Walker, it was completed in 1837.
Even former Prime Minister William Gladstone called it “England’s finest street”. 🔥
Nearly 190 years later, the buildings are still standing, the city is still moving, and there’s still neewhere quite like home.
Howay Newcastle. ❤️
