A little over 10km today, taking me to 26km (16 ish miles) for the week.

Todays sounds? Superunknown by

Man it’s been ages since I listened to that album in full! Forgotten how amazing it is!!!!

Found that a little tougher than I wanted it to be. A little niggly. But it’s done, and I’m glad I was able to get out on what was a cold but pleasant morning.

My two cats Cardigan, and Gizmo were judging me (as always) as to why I was running, and not feeding them!

Felt stronger today, with progressively faster half mile intervals. Breathing is getting better. Heart rate was lower even with the increased effort.

I am a happy boy today!!!

99% of failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.

If you want one, an excuse is never to hard to find. Things like “I don’t have the time” , “it’s raining” , “I’m too tired”.

Last I checked, we all had 24 hours in every day. So the problem is not that we don’t have enough time, but rather our poor use of the time given to us.

Use that time better, and maybe you wouldn’t be so tired. And if rain stops play, then you best be doing nothing in the UK ever again!

Today’s run was wild, windy and wet. But skin is waterproof. I’m not made of sugar, so I won’t melt.

Today’s planned run was 5 miles. NO EXCUSES.

AND I BLOODY LOVE IT!!!!

10 km today ( in just under an hour.), brings me to 29 km for the week. Longest week of running for well over a year. And I don’t think I look too wrecked, not like poor Minnie who I found at the end (last picture).

Sure we’re almost there now!

❤️ to you all. One last big push and it’s the weekend!!!!

Another 6.5km this morning finishes January with just shy of 95km for me. That’s massive considering the last few years have had me pretty much down and out running wise.

Decided to push a week pacy 1km at the end and clocked 4 minutes 50 seconds. Stoked for the weekend, with a lovely Sunday run on the cards for me!

Running… early morning or evening?

Ah running, my friend…., how I’ve missed you!

Once so dependable you became lost for a year, but this past month I’ve thrived with you back in my life!

Loving these early morning runs! Great way to start the day, and I love the feeling of accomplishment it gives me.

Abso bloody lutely loving the !!! Feels like starting over, cause an early form of the guide was one of my first and favourite shoes.

It’s happening again. I’m in serious danger of annoying everyone.

I’ve started running again, and I’ve once again become THAT guy. The guy who talks to everyone about running, even when no one wants to listen.

And I’m not even sorry about it!

I’m not sure slow and steady ever actually wins you a race, but it certainly keeps you in it!

This has been my biggest distance week in easily a year. Slow. Little breaks. But four days of running totalling just shy of 27km for the week.

I’m really happy with that. And now the plan is to rinse and repeat. This level for another three or four weeks to give my legs a chance to catch up and get used to the punishment.
