A little update from Bury Bar Backyard 💚
Sadly, this isn’t the first time we’ve had eggs taken from our honesty stand without payment.
When we started our honesty stand, we knew there was always a chance this could happen, but it’s still disheartening each time it does and gives us that little sick feeling in our stomachs.
Every box of eggs represents the time, care and cost our family puts into looking after our hens, and every honest purchase helps us keep the stand stocked for everyone to enjoy.
Each time this happens, it makes it harder for us to keep the honesty stand running in the way we’d hoped. We really want Bury Bar Backyard to remain a place built on trust, where people can stop by, pick up fresh, homegrown produce, and enjoy the simple idea of an honesty stand.
Thankfully, the vast majority of people who visit are exactly that—honest, thoughtful and incredibly supportive.
If someone has taken eggs without paying, whether it was intentional or simply an oversight, we’d really appreciate it if you could pop back and settle the payment. No questions asked.
