A little greenhouse with a lot of history…

Chamberlain’s has been growing in Newent for generations and we’re very proud to still be doing what our family has always done best - growing plants.

We’re a working greenhouse that’s open to everyone. No café, no gift shop and no big garden centre - just rows of plants, plenty growing behind the scenes and a family who have been doing this for over 100 years 💚

If you’ve never visited us before, come and discover our little corner of Newent.

With temperatures climbing, we’ve decided to close for the next couple of days and will reopen at the weekend when it’s looking a little cooler.

A few photos from today’s walk around the greenhouse.

Every week looks a little different in here and that’s one of the things we love most about growing our own plants on site.

If you fancy a wander this weekend, we’re open Saturday & Sunday 10am–4pm. 💚

🦋 Happy National Butterfly Weekend

There’s nothing better than seeing butterflies enjoying the flowers we’ve grown on site. It’s a lovely reminder of how important gardens are for our local wildlife. 💚

If you’re looking to make your garden a little more butterfly-friendly, we’re open today from 10am–4pm with plenty of homegrown plants they’ll love. 🌸

Summer may still be here but we’re already growing the next season. 🌿🍂

These young Cyclamen are just getting started and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing their journey as they grow into beautiful autumn colour.

While next season is taking shape behind the scenes, there’s still plenty to enjoy in the greenhouse this summer – homegrown bedding plants, colourful perennials, patio pots and hanging baskets, all grown here by us.

We’re open this weekend from 10am–4pm.

Pop in for a browse and see what’s growing.

With temperatures set to reach 34°C and an orange weather warning in place, we’ll be closed for the day while we spend our time watering, checking and caring for the thousands of plants growing in the greenhouse.

Thank you for your understanding and we’ll look forward to welcoming you back when it’s a little cooler. 💚☀️

🌿 Another batch has found new homes today 🌿

Every hanging basket starts life here in the greenhouse, grown and planted by us before finding its place in someone’s garden.

If you’ve spotted one you like but it’s already gone, or have a particular colour combination in mind, we also make hanging baskets to order.

It’s one of our favourite things to do, because no two are ever quite the same.

If you’d like one, pop into the greenhouse for a chat or send us a direct message and we’ll be happy to help. 💚

Happy Father’s Day 💚

Today we’re celebrating all the dads, grandads and father figures who have helped us learn and grow.

We’re also remembering those who are no longer with us but remain a big part of our families and our memories.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Father’s Day, whatever today means to you.
