You only need to buy these once🤩👇🏼

As a flower farmer, one of the best things is the incredible benefits of perennials and self-propagating plants. They not only look great and work hard on the farm, but also offer sustainability and cost-efficiency that every gardener can appreciate!

When you invest in perennials or plants that seed or divide themselves naturally, you’re making a one-time purchase that keeps on giving. These plants are designed to thrive and multiply, ensuring you have a continuous supply of blooms year after year without the need for constant replanting.

Take Echinacea Purpurea, for instance. Once planted, this robust flower will continue to produce more plants, which can be easily relocated to other areas of your garden or farm. Similarly, Rudbeckia spreads through seeds and rhizomes, creating lush, colorful displays with minimal effort. By dividing clumps every few years, you can maintain healthy growth and even grow your plot!

This natural propagation method not only saves time and money but also fosters a diverse and resilient ecosystem. Your plot becomes a self-sustaining haven where plants support each other and create a thriving environment. Plus, the joy of watching your farm or garden grow and evolve from a single planting is the best feeling!

Don’t just take our word for it… 💚

Every year, we pour everything we have into creating a weekend that leaves people feeling inspired, energised and full of ideas. But the best people to tell you what it’s really like are the ones who have already experienced it.

These are just some of the wonderful words from last year’s guests after spending two days here on the flower farm with me, and our wonderful team here 🌿

Whether you’re just starting out, looking to grow your flower farming business, or simply want to spend time with people who truly understand this world, our UK Flower Retreat is designed to give you practical knowledge, honest conversations, fresh ideas and friendships that last long after the weekend ends.

And the best part? You’ll leave with a head full of ideas and the confidence to put them into action.

We’re so excited to welcome this year’s group next weekend… and there are now just 2 spaces remaining.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is your sign not to wait any longer.

Comment FARM below and we’ll send you all the details. We’d love to welcome you to the farm. 🌿

Ever wondered how we actually run Field Gate Flowers?

Not just how we grow the flowers, but how we turn it into a profitable business. How we decide what to grow, what we don’t grow, how we price our flowers, market the business, create multiple income streams and make it all work behind the scenes.

That’s exactly what our UK Flower Retreat is all about.

For two days next weekend, we’ll open the gates to the farm and show you exactly how we do things. You’ll see the systems we’ve built, the lessons we’ve learned (sometimes the hard way!), and the decisions that have helped us grow Field Gate Flowers into the business it is today.

Of course we’ll be talking flowers too. You’ll learn about growing, harvesting, succession planting and all the practical techniques we use here on the farm. But just as importantly, we’ll cover the business side - because growing beautiful flowers is only half the story if you want to make a living from them.

You’ll leave with practical ideas you can implement straight away, honest answers to your questions, and a much clearer understanding of what it really takes to build a successful flower farming business.

If you’d love to come behind the scenes and see how we do it all, comment FARM below and we’ll send you all the details and booking information.

Ummmm what is this?! Snake?! 🐍

Our team spotted this snake on the farm today, at the back of the pig sty’s… they just manage to get their phone out and record it before it hid away!

Oh my goodness!! New farm pest unlocked! What to do?!
Does anyone know what type of snake it is?! Our pigs are pregnant 😱😳

Add it to your grow list 🌿👇🏼

One definite perennial recommendation from me is verbena. And if you’re not growing it already, here’s why I think you should this season:

1️⃣ From Seed to Splendour: Verbena is a breeze to grow from seed. Its resilience and vigor make it a perfect choice for both beginners and seasoned flower farmers. It practically thrives on neglect!

2️⃣ Long-lasting & prolific: Once verbena starts to bloom, it keeps on giving. Those vibrant clusters of flowers just keep coming, providing an extended season.

3️⃣ Strength in Blooms: Verbena isn’t just pretty; it’s strong! Its sturdy stems and robust flowers mean it holds up beautifully in bouquets and arrangements. No wilting here!

4️⃣ Cut Flower Champion: When it comes to cut flowers, verbena is a true champion. It plays well with other blooms, adding that perfect touch of wild elegance to any bouquet.

So, if you’re a flower farmer or simply a lover of stunning cut flowers, don’t overlook verbena! It’s a reliable, easy-to-grow, and long-lasting addition to your garden and floral designs.🥰🌿
