As most of you are already aware, as of October 1st 2026, the UK are introducing new rules and prices for the UK Va**ng Industry. So what does this mean and how does it affect you? I’ll try and explain as best I can.
The duty introduces a 22p increase per 1ml of v**e liquid before VAT, this is a flat rate on all liquids, regardless of ni****ne strength, including ni****ne free liquids. Pre-filled products will be subject to the duty, however it does not apply to devices, coils, pods and other accessories.
This increase is applicable to products produced or imported into the UK from October 1st and these products must have a Tax Duty Stamp on them. The Tax Duty stamps will be rectangular red or yellow tamper proof stickers on the outer packaging or on the bottles for items like short-fills.
However, stores can still continue to sell unstamped stock that was manufactured/imported before this date up to and including March 31st 2027. As that stock runs out, new duty-paid stock will enter the stores and prices may change product by product as they land. Popular liquids may sell through the existing stock quicker.
As for how much our prices will go up by, this is still undetermined at the moment. Some manufacturers may decide to absorb some of that cost themselves while others it will be passed down the chain so the prices may not increase by the full 22p per ml before VAT. We will have to work out our average cost of products, factor our overheads in and then get a more accurate gauge before we can settle on an affordable price. However, we cannot do this until the supplier prices have been confirmed. At the moment, while our products are the ones without the Duty Stamp, Our 4 for £10 deal on Nic Salts is still going and will continue to until new stock starts landing in store.
I hope this helps clear things up a little for anyone who isn’t fully sure of what these changes mean.
