CSM is a course designed for people who are interested in working with popular and experimental music in varying contexts. These include fine art, visual media, interactive technology, sonic art, community practice and new business ecologies. o’s interested in exploring new instruments, combining electronic and acoustic, digital and analogue, performance and composition, if you’re an artist who’s interested in working with sound, interactive and mobile technology and visual media, or if you’re somewhere in between, then Creative Sound and Music could well be the course for you. Creative Sound and Music is a fundamentally practice-based programme, that allows you to build a portfolio of work that is relevant to your future plans as a musician, and at the same time offers you challenging and diverse ideas about developing and establishing your own unique creative voice. Our students go on to forge successful careers in the music industry, and we’re proud to say that amongst our alumni, we’ve seen students go on to be nominated for the Welsh Music Prize, release apps for iPad, sign with Warner Bros, design interactive media projects for the National Botanic Garden of Wales, play at festivals such as Latitude, Primavera and Greenman, tour with Westlife and Olly Murs, perform at the Eden Project as well as continuing their studies at postgraduate level and establishing themselves as teachers and music professionals in the cultural sector.
