Only a week to go before my concert at Gunby Hall and Gardens playing in the historic music room. Can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday evening than in this beautiful location.

🎉Happy 100th Birthday to Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche 🎉

Today we celebrate the 100th birthday of 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻-𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲, a legend of the harp.

Throughout her extraordinary career, Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche has inspired generations of musicians with her music, leaving an indelible mark on the world of the harp and in the hearts of those who had the privilege of hearing and studying with her.

We are proud that, over the years, she chose to perform on 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶 and Lyon & Healy Harps, helping to preserve and enhance the musical legacy of our instrument.

To celebrate this important milestone, we invite you to listen to a piece taken from an album recorded in Perugia for Egan Records in the 1990s.

It has been a privilege and an honour to be a small part of the Pilgrim Harps family. Thank you to Penny, Tom and the team for allowing me to be a part of your harpy family. Thank you for all your help and support and lots of giggles along the way. Wishing you all every success with your new ventures. 😢💕🪉💐

It is with a heavy heart that we will no longer be making harps.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and not one we wanted to make, but the business is not currently viable.

The workshop will close mid-June.

We know this news will sadden many of our customers and harpists all over the world, and we wish there was a way to continue making harps. Since having to move to the new premises, the increased overheads and current financial climate meant that it’s just not feasible to continue.

We are committed to finish making the current orders we have, but sadly these will be the last harps we will make.

Thank you to all our amazing customers and all the other fantastic people we have met in the harp world over the years.

The harps that were designed by John, Peter, Jerry and Pete is a legacy they can be proud of and we know they will all last a lifetime.

Penny and Matthew are planning to stay in the harp world offering strings and servicing, so Pilgrim harp owners will not be left unsupported.

Additionally, the Pilgrim Harp Adult Ensemble community workshops will continue.

Next weekend we are having a final sale on all stock harps. This will start at 9am on Saturday morning (23rd May), here at the workshop in Horley.

Stock harp and price list will be published next week.
