I was honoured to once again be asked to create artwork for the awesome ARA Overmountain Rally in Tennessee, USA.

This new illustration features last year's outright winners, driver Conner Martell and co-driver Alex Gelsomino, in their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Overmountain was their first overall national rally victory, and they did it in style, beating the previous year's winners, Travis Pastrana and Rhiannon Gelsomino, by an impressive 5:27.2.

The Overmountain is a tough and unforgiving rally, featuring 101 stage miles across some of the roughest, twistiest, tightest and most technical forest roads in American rallying. It's no wonder it has been dubbed the "American Acropolis" over the years.

This artwork was created for the 2026 Overmountain Rally, so keep your eyes peeled for merchandise and other items featuring the illustration at this year's event. The rally takes place on 18-19 September, so check out Overmountain Rally Tennessee to catch all the action!

This piece was created to grace the cover of Czech motorsport magazine 'Racing Journal'.

The piece shows legendary Czech drivers Zdeněk Vojtěch & Břetislav Enge in their famous Hartge BMW 635 CSi racing in the 1983 European Touring Car Championship.

As part of the championship that year the drivers got to race at their home circuit of Brno, which back in the early eighties was still a raw street circuit, where only the worlds best - and bravest - drivers shone.

A lot of people have asked for this over the years so here we are - I’m super excited to introduce Box-Arch Co.

A new motorsport inspired clothing brand which will start by offering a select few t shirt designs in limited runs, colours, and fits. I’ve kicked things off with purely black and white Tees, in a ‘box/oversized’ and ‘regular’ fit, but will look to expand colours, styles and products going forward. I’ve been wearing and testing samples for the last few months, ensuring the best quality tees with the sharpest prints.

We can ship worldwide, accept multiple payment methods, and will aim to deliver your tee to your door within 10-14 days. Every tee is printed to order too to minimise waste, over production and simplify the purchase process.

Going forward I’d love to hear from you guys with what cars you’d like to see on a tee and what style you think I should do more of, and what new colours and products you’d like to see. Plus, whether you’d like to see some of my artwork pieces (Mark Dawson Art) crossover onto Box Arch Co. products etc?

Just finished up a new piece — the iconic ’73 Martini Racing 911 Carrera RSR of Herbert Müller and Gijs van Lennep attacking the legendary Targa Florio.

There’s something about these old road races… narrow roads, no margin for error, and cars being pushed to the absolute limit. Here, Muller attacks a tree lined right hander, lifting a front wheel as the air-cooled rear-engined 911 digs into the tarmac and powers through another apex. So so cool.

Excited to show off another recently completed illustration!

This one was a ton of fun — a beautiful collection of 911s at the cathedral of motorsport, Spa-Francorchamps, and more specifically at the foot of the legendary Eau Rouge–Raidillon complex.

This new illustration celebrates a beautiful Porsche 356 SC and the shared history between the car and its owner. From vibrant, gritty urban graffiti, through to a traditional Scandinavian village, and on to the epic landscapes of Yosemite — this commission really has it all. Yet regardless of the setting, the little 356 is always the star of the story!

Seeing the final fine art print of this piece was super rewarding — the colours, textures, and detail looked absolutely incredible. This one really will look great mounted and framed!

A huge thanks you must go to the client for this piece, for not only allowing me to show it off but for also having the vision in the first place and added so many great ideas into the mix! I thoroughly enjoyed creating this one!

It’s been a really busy start to the year here at M Dawson Art, but I’ve been loving every second.

Private and business commissions have been coming in constantly, which has been amazing — and alongside that, I’ve been working on a new project I’m super excited about. Hopefully I can make it happen, and I’ll be able to share more with you in the coming weeks…keep those eyes peeled 👀

Oh and heres a little illustration of the incredible Prodrive Ferrari 550 GTS on its way to winning its class and finishing tenth overall at Le Mans in 2003 - I love these 550 GT racers, anyone else a fan?!
