New series starting | Conor & Rose 🌱
Over the next few weeks we’re taking you to Aral Farm near St Columb Major, and showing how our hand-collected seaweed is fitting into one of Cornwall’s most thoughtful small-scale growing operations.
Founded by Conor and Rose in 2022, Aral is a two-acre market garden built around a perennial system of food production and ecological connectivity. The land is managed organically, growing fresh produce for veg boxes, chefs and local markets. Their whole model is about proving that ecologically minded, diverse small farms can replace mass production with production by the masses.
That thinking is exactly why our seaweed feels at home here. Aral run it through a Dosatron, applied two ways: as a foliar spray to support the plants directly, and dosed straight into their irrigation to feed the soil and root systems below. Fully circular, UK seaweed, working with the soil rather than against it.
