This page started as my craft page and with time it changed to my gardening and allotment page. Here you will find lots of photos of my flowers and plants but also a range of the handmade crafts that I have created over the years. Days 8 and 9 of Drawing Geometry
Geometry is all over nature and if we pay attention, we will find it everywhere. These little flowers show it. I love sitting in a garden looking for geometry, symmetry, shapes and "coincidences".
Have a look in your garden and see if you can find any of these. It is also a lovely way to relax and meditate 😌

Day 3 of Drawing Geometry.
Today's lesson is drawing a pentagon in different ways.
Tricky 😕 it doesn't really want to match all the time but managed it in the end. ☺️
Come back tomorrow to see what shape comes along.
I have used watercolour pencils to give them a bit of colour but at the same time show the lines (reminder for myself!)

I know I have been a bit quiet around here but life has been a bit busy!!
New job, enjoying life a bit more, camping with family and learning!!! Always learning!
When I was drawing my geometric patterns I found that I was asking myself (many times!) 'oh, and how do I do that now?'.
Soooooo, I decided to go back to basics and learn a bit more geometry. To decipher how to do things when I am not sure how to do them. And so this started... I am doing a bit of learning everyday and see where it goes. Days 1 and 2, I started with a triangle and a square in a circle and on a line.

For the purpose of this learning, I am using a book by Jon Allen called Drawing Geometry.

Hopefully I will be able to share my progress on a daily basis. August 1 and 2 = days 1 and 2 of my learning.
