Seadrift Kayaks

So to all my lovely friends and family, and customers of my Billy at Seadrift Kayaks, I’ve decided to sign up for this wonderful fundraiser for Cancer Research, doing what I love, and swim 10k in November.

Now I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t know someone who has, has had or who has lost their battle with cancer and this in itself is so very heartbreaking.

So if I can do one small thing like swim to raise money I will.

Now times are hard and I know sponsoring and giving money to charitable causes can get expensive, so I thought I know a lot of people and if I can get 100 of you beautiful people to donate just £1 each I can reach my target of £100, which may be small, but I will be just one of thousands of people doing just this ###

So if you can spare that £1, then thank you from the bottom of my heart, jo ###

So our season is nearly over - last day Sunday 31st August - and although we thought today would be a wash out, Mother Nature had decided otherwise 😊

The sun is shining, and our beach shop, kayak and paddle board hire is open, so why not pop on down and hire yourself one for a sunny day on the river, even though the tide is on its way out, plenty of fun can be had in the shallows of the river gannel 😊

Hope all those lovely people take time to visit my hardworking Billy and our daughter Molly at Seadrift Kayaks beach shop and hire.

They will be there to greet you, sell you all your essential beach kit and help you hire out and launch you onto the river gannel on one of their SUPs or kayaks x

A little overcast this morning, but weather forecast says the sun will be back later today and already the cars are queuing to get into the carpark outside ours, so just goes to show you don’t need sunshine all day to have an awesome day at Crantock Beach.

Surfing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, crabbing, sand castle building, snorkelling, swimming, walking and taking in the stunning views, stopping for a bite to eat at our fabulous eatery’s, Cbay bar and bistro, flotsam, fern pit cafe, or wander up to the village where you will find, the Old Albion and Cornishman pubs and The Jam Jar cafe with its stone baked pizzas.

It’s a win win visiting our beautiful Crantock and Crantock Beach and best of all seadrift kayaks is at the boathouse, on the river gannel across the fernpit cafe bridge or on the ferry at high tide or down the Fern pit cafe steps from the Newquay side of the beach and of course it has all those essential beach items you heed for a great day at the beach as well as plenty of stand up paddle boards and kayaks to hire for fun in the water ###

Another beautiful day on Crantock beach xx

Just look at that sea, like a millpond, perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding, so why not head on down to Seadrift Kayaks at the boathouse at the fernpit cafe on the River Gannel, Crantock beach and hire yourself a vessel for exploring our beautiful bay, under the safe watch of our amazing lifeguards x

A bit overcast this morning, but the sun is trying to break through to brighten our day and best of all our gorgeous Molly has joined her dad Billy today to start her season helping him at our beach shop and kayak/stand up paddle board hire x

Despite the weather Crantock Beach is always a magical place to visit. Always so much to do to entertain your young ones, your teenagers and of course us grown ups, especially if you head over to Seadrift Kayaks at The Boathouse on the river gannel, at the bottom of the Fern Pit Cafe steps x

Here you can grab all your beach day essentials, from buckets and spades to crab nets and lines for the fantastic crabbing we have here at the footbridge by our beach shop, buy yourself wetsuits, beach toys, windbreaks and parasols, or hire yourself one of our Kayaks or Paddle boards for a meander down the river gannel to explore its small coves and wildlife or on a calm day explore the bay too with all its coves and caves.

We are truly lucky to have this on our doorstep and hope that you get to enjoy the beauty of the river gannel and Crantock beach too.
