🚢 Service Update

Our little ferry is taking a short break and won’t be operating for a little while just whilst Mark undergoes some routine treatment.

🌉 Good news! Our bridge and riverside path will be in place for you to cross the river 3 hours before and 3 hours after high water each day but not outside of these times. PLEASE check stories for daily tide times.

☕ Our café is open from 9:30am daily, serving delicious breakfasts, brunches, lunches, afternoon teas and sundowner sessions!

🚗 Car parking is available at the cafe

🌊 Seadrift Kayak Hire is also open if you’re looking to get out on the water.

When the lovely Hayley and Nat came for a visit to create us some content for Billy’s social media pages at Seadrift Kayaks - I think we can say that muchus fun was had - thank you ladies, now let’s share the bejesus out of your reel to show everyone how wonderful it is here on the River Gannel on Crantock beach and how much fun you can have by hiring kayaks or stand up paddle boards or even buy an inflatable like Dave the killer whale 🤣 from Billy at Seadrift Kayaks 😊

So from Wednesday, sadly the Fernpit ferry will not be running until further notice, but do not fear, Billy at Seadrift Kayaks will be in charge of the footbridge and pathway up and down to the Fernpit cafe and to him of course. So on a high tide you will need to access Seadrift Kayaks and the Fernpit cafe from the Newquay side at Riverside Crescent.

We hope that you will still all make it down to hire our fab kayaks and sups or even buy an inflatable for fun in the water

A wee trip over to see Billy at work at Seadrift Kayaks - oh such hardship travelling this route to work!!!

Such a glorious day down on Crantock Beach today and the colour of the water is just beautiful x

Come on down and grab yourself a kayak or SUP or an inflatable to have fun in the water and best of all you can launch straight from the steps, so no carrying your vessel across the hot sand 😊

Well with all this hot weather what better place to be than in or on the water and what better place than Crantock beach and the river gannel where you can swim, paddle board and kayak in safety over looked by our fab lifeguards 😊

So why not head on down to Seadrift Kayaks for all your kayak and stand up paddle board hire for launching straight into the water without having to carry across the hot sand 😊

As well hire You will find a well stocked beach shop as well crab bait for your all important crabbing with the kids, a fave past time here on Crantock Beach.

Hope to see you all soon and remember access to the boathouse, the home of seadrift kayaks is either from Crantock beach across the footbridge on a low tide or the ferry on a high tide or down the footpath and steps from the Fern pit cafe on the Newquay side with parking on the headland just a 5 min walk away 😊

So our season is under way and the sun has returned and our beach shop, kayak and stand up paddle board hire is open, so why not pop on down and hire yourself one for a sunny day on the river, even if the tide is on its way out, plenty of fun can be had in the shallows of the river gannel 😊
