S L O W A U G U S T

I’ve been a little quiet on here for the last week or so, I took a break from social media, emails and texts to spend a week going slow.

It’s been a little overwhelming the last few months so with a week off from the day job I thought it would be a perfect time for a little grounding 🧘‍♀️

I have spent the week clearing the house and visiting numerous charity shops, planting and replanting the garden, taking a lil road trip, painting the fence, scrapbooking, drawing, reading, listening to music and enjoying a week of no demands, no timelines, no pressure
☕️🎶🪴📚🌤️🎨🚗

It’s such a fast world these days, with so much happening all at once that it’s hard not to get overwhelmed and exhausted 🤯

What do you when you need to check out and recharge? Maybe you go for a walk, enjoy a sea swim, or veg on the sofa? A cuppa, a candle, a soak in the tub? 🛀

If you need to recharge, the shop is open this FRIDAY & SATURDAY with some beautiful handmade goodies that may brighten your weekend 🌈

And, Mart will be at the Warrenpoint Artisan Market this weekend so be sure to stop by the park and say hi 👋

The Fiddler’s Green festival has opened in Rostrevor so if you’re down, make sure to pop in to the annual art exhibition. Located at St Bronaghs club, you can see work by several of the artists we feature in the shop, including Martin, Deirdre McClorey and Seamus Collins 🖼️ 🧑‍🎨🎶

A B O U T Y E S T E R D A Y

It was an enjoyable and therapeutic few hours in the studio yesterday afternoon at Martin’s latest Pause & Paint session 🎨


We had a lovely group of ladies and gents, and I had a great time chatting and watching them get creative, while on tea and coffee duty ☕️

Martin challenged the group with a still life and pushed everyone just a little out of their comfort zone with amazing results! 🖼️

There was some experimentation and discussion about different painting techniques and everyone surprised themselves with what they could do 👏👏👏

Martin’s next painting workshop is coming in August, stay tuned for updates 🔜
