Good Mental Health and Wellbeing is often easy to talk about but much harder to achieve!.
The and have assigned a 2030 Sustainable Development Goal solely to Good Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Why? As we talk about more about mental health; stigmas still surround the subject & people are still afraid to speak out about the war they are at with themselves.
As a person who has dealt with Depression and Anxiety; secrecy, shame and hate are just some of the things you put on yourself for being "weak". I am here to say that speaking out and talking about your journey is braver and stronger than you may think!! The more you talk the better you feel. The more you share the more tips and ideas you get to fuel your day and help boost your mood, your mental health and wellbeing. The more you talk the more people you save.
During this Pandemic; Depression and Anxiety are affecting people more than ever before. Isolation, Fear of the unknown, Inability to access support systems as easily and many additional factors are impacting people's mental health and wellbeing. It is more important now for societies, communities and employers to act on providing and improving good mental health and wellbeing.
What Can You Do!? Call a friend or relative and check in. Write down 3 things you are grateful for every morning. Create a routine that works for you during this new normal. Get out in nature and embrace the present. Remind yourself and others there is only one of you and your uniqueness is what sparks joy each day.
Be an SDG soldier and take small steps today to create an open space where good mental health & wellbeing is talked about and embraced. YOUR small step can make BIG changes to someone else's life.
Sustainable Mood will launch their Mood Jars Jul 13th which fuel your positive mental health and wellbeing.
