What a fantastic evening filled with laughter and an incredible lineup of talent. A huge thank you to our brilliant headliner, Lianne McCooey , our six fantastic comedians, and everyone who came along to support us.

Congratulations to Eugene Reavey and Ken Murray on winning this prestigious award for their remarkable book The Killing of the Reavey Brothers. Since The Bookshelf opened last October this has been far and away our best selling book, and it's no wonder! The reaction to the book has been truly inspiring and it is fitting that this award was for the Reader's Choice Category voted for by the public.

We are incredibly proud to share that The Killing of the Reavey Brothers: British Murder and Cover-Up in Northern Ireland has won the 2026 True Crime Awards Readers’ Choice Award, as voted for by the public.

To everyone who read the book, shared its story, and voted for us—thank you. This award means the world because it comes from you the readers.

This has been a remarkable year for the Reavey family. Alongside this wonderful recognition, Eugene Reavey’s historic High Court case reached a landmark settlement after more than fifty years in pursuit of truth and justice.

We hope this award helps bring the Reavey family’s story to even more people and honours the memory of John Martin, Brian and Anthony Reavey.
