Let’s talk about September…
I’m skipping August because I’m sure you don’t want to see a million pictures of Paignton and our caravan!
September has been the month of SORTING. If it didn’t happen this month, it probably isn’t happening because this is our last chance to get organised before the C word takes over!
The shop has been busy — busier than the last two years — and I’m so pleased with what YUG has achieved.
September is such a limbo month; back to school, catching up, recharging, writing Christmas lists and lots of window shopping ready for the months ahead. So to see the shop constantly knocking on the door of five-figure months makes my heart so happy.
Not just because of what that means for YUG, but because it means I’m supporting so many wonderful creatives every single month. That will never stop making me proud.
The shop will always be my priority and I genuinely love getting stuck in and making it a lovely place for you all.
But if I’m honest, mentally my cup is empty!!!!!!!
So, as I’ve mentioned, October is going to be the month of filling that cup.
I want to head into the busiest time of the year feeling recharged, not running on empty.
September, you’ve been a good one. Now… breathe. October I cannot wait to see what you have to offer. The burr season is my favourite, I cannot wait to get all my layers on, my thick socks and my boots. My finger is ready to turn the heating on anytime now and the hot water bottle is patiently waiting by the kettle.
