Working on one of my own. My first thought was it sounded like a bent centre shaft. It turned out to be something stuck in between the teeth on the spur gear! Cleaned it all up and topped up the diff fluid. All done

Axial crawler chassis in. Binding and clicking noise from the driveline and to have a motor fitted. The front axle wasn’t shimmed very well causing a small amount of damage to the ring gear. Replacement gears ordered
