It's donnnnnnnnne! And it looks so cute. It's far from perfect but the next one will be much better.

When covering this one I did not account for the swoop that this shade has making it wider at the bottom than at the top. Bit to counter act that I added a bit of a gap between the stripes. Like I say not perfect but I have some straight shades to decorate next which I think will look much better.

I'm looking forward to decorating the other shades now as I know they will look so much better.

So very nearly done but I ran out of hot glue sticks. I ordered more from , naturally. Those arrive on Tuesday and I will be able to finally get this cute lampshade finished.

I'm so happy to have lost 2lbs this week. There were a few wee points were I had to stop myself from self sabotage but I'm glad I was strong enough to do that.

Today has been a bit of a ride. I had an appointment at the hospital breast clinic. I had 4 biopsies taken so am in a lot of pain but I will be ok.

The next few weeks are going to feel so long waiting on the results but I will be keeping myself busy to keep my mind off it.
🌈
The doctor has reassured me that everything should be ok he was just taking biopsies as a precaution. So roll on the results!

In the mean time I will be completing my test of the pattern I was lucky to be chosen for by and keeping myself busy with other things.

I'll not lie today I'm feeling a bit sick today. Not sure whether it's a fibro flare coming my way or what but we will see. Hopefully the meds kick in and scare it away.

That doesn't mean I don't have things I need to get done. I have parcels to post, chores to do and the most important thing is the pattern test I have to complete for .

So I was out shopping with my mum today and we paid a visit to B&Q and I happened to see this 'pom pom' lampshade for £28. I was gobsmacked! They weren't even pom poms on the shade they were random knots of embroidery thread.

I have spent ages individually placing each pom pom on the one I have been doing. If I was selling this and was able to get over £20 I would be chuffed. But it is a work of love and will not be for sale but I might consider making and selling some in the future.

Hopefully have time for some crafting later even if it's only a few rows of crochet or progress on the lampshade it's something and something is better than nothing.

It's been an intense few days but here I am picking myself up and making changes. I'm the only one who has control over the direction I travel so I'm taking the bull by the horns and going all in.

It's time I change and get my life on track for me and my wonderful kids. If anyone deserves the best version of me it's them.

I will finally be making use this planner that I bought quite a few years ago from .planning to help keep myself accountable.

Also porridge for lunch is acceptable right? It doesn't matter it happened today because I had a bad night's sleep and didn't get up until late.

I had this old lampshade that was covered in feathers and was slowly moulting so I decided to remove all the feathers and cover it in pom poms.

I have to say I'm obsessed with how it looks. It's soooooo cute.

Can't wait to give it to my bestie for her daughter's room.
