The newly developed lightweight electric bicycle Lacros Drafter is equipped with a powerful 250W rear wheel motor from the A-brand BAFANG. With an aluminum frame, smooth monoshock front fork suspension and a strong 36V lithium-ion polymer battery, this e-bike is your ideal travel companion! You can cycle effortlessly against a strong wind or up a steep slope. Electrically assisted, you can easily achieve a range of over 80-120 km.

In combination with the 9 gears and an efficient sinus rotation sensor, the Lacros Drafter with support has a very natural cycling experience.

📣📣What happens during a close pass? 📣📣

If you cycle on the road for any length of time you will have, no doubt, experienced a close pass. That brief moment when a driver over takes a cyclist too closely. To say you feel terrified is an understatement. Your heart misses a beat and even if the car doesn’t hit you, it still has the ability to knock you off your bike.

“motorists should give motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders at least as much room as they would when overtaking a car”

As a car passes a series of events occur.
The cyclist is momentarily PUSHED away from and SUCKED towards the vehicle.

1. As the vehicle approaches the back of the bike the pressure pushes the rider away from the vehicle.
2. There’s a quick flip from a pushing force to a sucking force.
3. The rider is sucked towards the vehicle.
4. As the back of the vehicle passes the cyclist the sucking force flips to a pushing force again.
5. The forces acting on the cyclist (pushing/pulling) flips back and forth until the it reaches zero.

The faster and closer a vehicle is the bigger the push pull force is on the cyclist. There is only a split second for a cyclist to control the steering motion. Then consider the quality of our roads and the size of vehicles adding to the already dangerous close pass.

If you see a cyclist please over take them safely. If it’s not safe to do so then wait until it is. You might just be saving a life.
