We're very excited about the fantastic line up for our Good Life market this Sunday 8th May.
Killinchy Beekeepers will be here with experts to give you all the information you need to start out with your own bees. We also have several beekeepers taking stands who would be delighted to share their expertise as well and local company Mclernon Packaging will be able to supply glass jars for all the lovely honey you will be producing.
Chicken lovers will have Ballyholland Poultry on their stand with their great starter packs which supplies you with everything you need to get going . It includes chicks and all the necessary feed and equipment you will need to start producing lovely fresh eggs for you and your family. So now there's nothing stopping you, kids will love it and it's such an enjoyable thing to watch the birds grow up and produce eggs.
The Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue team are with us with freshly layed eggs, jams, pickles and chutney for sale and information on how you can give a new home to the poor birds used as battery hens. These wee birds are so deserving and will give you so much back with a little tlc !
You'll need to house your birds so we have Brightknight Solutions with their Eco poultry houses. Fantastic concept which will keep your new birds cosy and mite free !
Gardeners will be able to buy flower and veggie plants from Peachy Plants or get some organic native seeds from local company True Harvest Seeds. If you want some freshly cut local flowers we have Sow Grateful Flowers with us as well.
There will also be fantastic craft traders including Beaghmore Baskets with their beautiful willow baskets, Curlew Cottage with fabulous wild life prints, bird feeders, bee and poultry themed cushions, cards, art and ceramics.
Sarah Mejury the local artist and illustrator who produced our fabulous poster for the "Good Life" will also be here with her prints and cards.
We'll also have home made fudge, organic soap, candles, jewellery and much much more.
