Following an incident earlier against two members of the team I feel the need to remind the public that we are not here to take abuse whether it be physically or verbally. We can only follow procedures as dictated by Post Office Limited and follow the instructions given to us by the computer system and while this may be inconvenient sometimes and as everyone who uses us knows, we bend over backwards to help our customers but unfortunately sometimes our hands are tied. This member of the public should’ve known better and the incident has been reported through the proper channels laid out through Post Office wellbeing guidance.
Thankfully these incidents are few and far between but are no less upsetting for hardworking team members when they happen.
