Thank you Newhailes again
Fantastic organisation and an absolutely scorcher of a day!
I unfortunately came overdressed with fluffy leggings, jumper dress and chunky boots. By 10am the boots were under the table, revealing my true height🤣😭 the dress was thrown away and the wonderful Alison Elder gave me a tie dye shirt to cover my modesty!
It was a good day anyway.
I get asked at fayres all the time...
"Where do you get your crystals from?"
The answer? All over the world.
I work hard to source from suppliers who share my values around ethical sourcing and fair trading wherever possible. The crystal world is a huge place, and like many things, it isn't always black and white. I do my best to research suppliers, ask questions, and source responsibly.
Now, a little honesty from your resident chaotic faerie...
I've been working with holistic healing, Reiki and crystals in both my work and personal life for many years. But despite what some people on social media might tell you, nobody knows everything.
Crystal names change. Trade names appear. Mines close. New material is discovered. Someone somewhere decides to rename a stone because apparently we needed more CONFUSIONITE
So if you visit me at a fayre and spot something I've named incorrectly, or you know a different composition, variety, or trade name...
PLEASE TELL ME!
I genuinely love learning and I'm always open to being educated.
Just be aware that once we start talking crystals, geology, folklore, healing properties, dragons, shiny things, or random spiritual rabbit holes...
You may need a safe word to escape the conversation because I get distracted very easily and could accidentally keep you there for 45 minutes.
For those who haven't visited my stall yet, I may have a slight crystal addiction and therefore stock:
Carvings of (almost) everything imaginable
Rough stones and polished pieces
Spheres, towers and statement specimens
Pendants, bracelets and rings
Crystal tiaras for your inner faerie royalty
Wands and daggers for your magical side
Gift boxes and mystery boxes ready to go
And yes...
I also have statement pieces.
The kind where you stare lovingly at them for ten minutes before asking:
"How much?"
To which I can, if required, provide my specialist service of telling your partner it was only a fiver.
No judgement here.
Faerie confidentiality is included free of charge.
Thank you to everyone who chats crystals with me, shares knowledge, asks questions and keeps me learning. That's one of my favourite things about doing fayres — meeting fellow shiny-object enthusiasts and learning something new every time.
Stay sparkly, stay curious, and remember...
The crystal chooses the human. The human just pretends they were "only browsing."
