I started in Network Marketing over 20 years ago when my children were still at Primary School. Working from home gave me the flexibility I was looking for and allowed me to spend quality time with my family and the other passion in my life, my horses. For the first couple of years I worked very part time selling mainly to close friends and family and at local schools, playgroups and hosting the occasional coffee mornings. Fitting in my working hours when my children were at school, and always been there for them when they came home. As my children got older I extended my retailing into other areas, small Country Shows and events and also, lots of Charity events for various worthwhile causes. I particularly love the charity side of Flamingo Paperie and feel very proud to be part of a company that produces a product that does not just look good, but, does good as well.
From day one in my business I have built up a loyal customer base with contacts who now stretch to every corner of the UK. For me, the one thing I like best about this type of business is that you are always in control. You can work when you want, and, as often as you want! It gives you a level of freedom that is simple not available when working 9 till 5! The social side is also really enjoyable as over the years, I have made some special friendships with Partners who have joined my team, part of my role these days is to help others achieve what they want from the business themselves. This is something else I particularly enjoy. I now run my business full time and have a growing team of Partners throughout the UK, Australia, New Zealand and France! We now see Flamingo as a vehicle that we can take into our retirement which will provide us with a regular income and supplement our Pension pot!
