Morning all,

If possible could the lady that picked up a bouquet around 1:30 yesterday in a Jaecoo get in touch? There seems to be an issue with the payment going through

Much appreciated 😊

Flower stand popped out for the first time this year
Jars of double tulips. A mixed jar arrangement and a tulip posy available.
It’s quite windy out so the stand may be moved periodically to protect the flowers.
Out until mid afternoon (wind permitting)

The flowers aren’t too far away now. The tulips will miss this Mother’s Day weekend which is a shame, but you can’t rush nature. I don’t think they will be too much longer for the first flush.
The biennials left in the ground over winter have really bulked up. Alliums have sprouted. And there’s plenty going on the in the greenhouse ready to be hardened off and planted out after the windy weather passes.
I can finally feel the start of this years season approaching

I’m very much missing flowers at the moment. This is a snap of the Dahlia ā€˜Bracken Ballerina’, which is currently tucked up in the ground under a thick layer of mulch and a tarp hoping it springs to life when it warms back up.
I’m currently in the midst of planning and preparation for the year to come. Selecting which varieties will make a come back, and which new ones I’d like to try.
I’ll soon be updating the website with what to expect over the coming growing season (roll on Spring) as well as providing updates through social media

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted anything on social media. As always it feels like it’s been very non-stop and sometimes i forget to snap a photo or write a post.

I had the last of my Christmas orders go out today, so this evening feels like the ideal time to sit by the fire and look to the year ahead.

Out in the garden it’s still all go, potting on, tidying and most importantly planning. What’s going where next year, how much of each variety do I want, and how many Strawflowers are too many (in my personal opinion you can never have enough).

The biennials planted earlier this year are looking really healthy. Hesperis (photo1), campanula, sweet William and some Foxgloves. The foxgloves are new for me so I’m excited to see how they perform this year.

I’ve decided to do a trial run of Tulips for spring (photo2). I’ve only ever grown these for myself rather than as a crop so fingers crossed. I’ve planted them up in several crates, the theory being I can try and stagger the bloom times slightly. Something is currently trying to eat them all so we’ll see how many make it through.

And finally lovely lovely ranunculus. I’ve got some looking well in the polytunnel (photo 3) and also had a crack at making some low tunnels (photo 4) for growing them outside. This should help protect them from the wind and rain, but I can still lift up the cover to give them plenty of fresh air.

Thank you to all my lovely customers for your support this year. I look forward to growing flowers for you again next year.

If you are still looking for any last minute dried flowers, please feel free to reach out. I am also planning to update the website to have its own dried flowers page in January.
