For those of you that don't know me personally, I'm Stacey, the face behind the fox. I am passionate about the natural world, and as you'll see from my little illustrations; wildlife, woodlands and magical night skies inspire everything I create. My 'Fox Under The Moon' artwork series is for all ages. It is inspired by the simplicity of everyday life, and the complicated emotions that go with it. Through my artwork you will meet an anxious, but inquisitive fox and the wise old moon. The two become friends, and I hope that their warm and whimsical world can bring some encouragement and love to yours. I'm delighted to share with you my collection words and illustrations, designed to encourage positivity and self-love. We often think kindness is something we give to other people. But some of the most important kindness we'll ever offer is the kindness we show ourselves.

Sometimes we think we're meant to feel strong all the time, or that healing means leaving every difficult feeling behind. But life isn't made up of only bright days or only dark ones. It's a beautiful mixture of both.

🌙 Sometimes I think we can become so busy sharing our creativity that we forget to simply… create.

The past few days and weeks have been full of plans and posts, pre-orders and statistics: all the little things that come with bringing a new book out into the world. And somewhere amongst all that noise - exciting as it is - I realised I’d drifted a little further from myself than I meant to.

So I went outside last night.

I noticed the evenings drawing in, and the coolness in the air. The way the stars seem to return to us, brighter and more magical, as summer begins to loosen her grip.

And I wrote.

Just a few quiet words about something I noticed and wanted to remember.

I think words have always been a kind of compass for me. Whenever I feel a little lost in the chaos of everything else, eventually they lead me home.

So this is ‘Night Comes’ - a small love letter to autumn, to looking up, and to remembering that sometimes when the light disappears, it simply gives us something else to notice… and often that means noticing something about ourselves too ✨ 🍂
