The flowers haven’t quite given up on summer

Despite the autumn chill, the flower field is still producing beautiful blooms.

So there’ll be a fresh delivery of locally grown flowers at Gastro Nicks delicatessen in Collingbourne Ducis first thing tomorrow morning (Saturday 17 October).

A little bit of summer to brighten up an autumn weekend.

Thank you, Romsey

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Romsey Farmers’ Market today. To everyone who stopped for a chat, admired the flowers, bought a bouquet or jam jar – it was so lovely to see you.

And thank you to all the other brilliant stallholders who make the market what it is. There was such a wonderful range of locally produced food, flowers and other goodies, and a really lovely atmosphere.

Days like today are a great reminder of just how much support for small, local businesses means. Thank you.

We’re at Romsey on Sunday

OK, I panicked. As the British flower season draws to a close, I worried I wouldn’t have quite enough flowers to make the lovely bouquets I take to market. I still have an abundance of dahlias, but they don’t always have the vase life of some other varieties - and I want my bouquets to last. So, I bought in some beautiful chrysanthemums.

As it turns out, I needn’t have worried. The flower field has come up trumps and I’ve got more than enough.

The good news is there’ll be some particularly lovely, bumper bouquets and jam jar flowers on the stall this Sunday – packed with the best of my locally grown flowers, and the odd gorgeous chrysanthemum.

Hopefully we’ll see you there.

Romsey Farmers’ Market this Sunday

I’ll be back at The Hampshire Farmers’ Market in Romsey this Sunday 4 October with lots of locally grown flowers, freshly picked for the day.

I’ll have plenty of beautiful seasonal bunches and jam jar flowers, filled with some of the best of what’s flowering on the farm right now.

I and the flowers are making the most of this lovely late summer sunshine.

The nights might be getting cooler and the flower-growing season is beginning to wind down, but there’s still plenty of colour in the field and lots to enjoy before autumn really takes hold.

I’m certainly not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet.

Fresh flowers at Gastro Nicks

There’ll be another batch of locally grown, seasonal flowers at Gastro Nicks in Collingbourne Ducis tomorrow (Thursday).

The British flower-growing season won’t be with us for too much longer, so make the most of it while you can.

Pop in and pick up a bunch alongside all the other lovely things Gastro Nicks has to offer.

The flower season won’t last forever

The cooler nights are a sure sign that the seasons are changing, and it won’t be too long before the flower farm starts winding down for the year.

But we’re not quite there yet. There are still a few weeks to enjoy beautiful, seasonal flowers grown right here on our flower farm in Tidworth.

So if you’d like something before the season ends, now’s the time.

Fresh, local and just delivered

A fresh delivery of beautiful, locally grown flowers from Bulb to Bunch has just arrived at Gastro Nicks in Collingbourne Ducis (SN8 3EB).

Grown just down the road on our flower farm in Tidworth, they’ve been freshly picked and arranged using the best of what’s blooming right now.

Pop in and pick up a bunch while they’re at their freshest – perfect for brightening up your home or someone else’s weekend.

You probably don’t realise how important you are

We had our best market ever at Romsey yesterday.

It’s been a tough year for flower farmers, but a day like yesterday makes it all worthwhile.

It’s fantastic to have regulars come back time and again to support us – it like meeting up with friends. I had some lovely surprise visits from family and friends. It was also great to see so many new faces buying our flowers, or simply stopping by to tell us how beautiful they were.

You probably don’t realise what a difference this makes to a small business like mine.

So, to everyone who stopped, chatted, bought flowers, came back for more or simply said something kind – thank you. You made my day.
