This was far from your average swim session…
No jewellery in sight for this one… just for today! 😆
I popped over to the spring fed Ellerton Park and The Conscious Self for a morning dip.. with a difference!

Maybe it’s because I’m a Pisces but get me near water (or preferably in it!) and I’m happy.
What makes this extra special is the contrast… swappping the ‘invigorating’ cool lake for the heat of the wood-fired sauna… all tucked inside a converted rice trailer. Then back into the water… and repeat.

A catch up with friends, plenty of putting the world to rights … perfect 👌🏻Ready for the week ahead.

The first three months felt like forever… then somehow the rest of the year has found the fast-forward button.
Which also means Defender Burghley Horse Trials is only 4½ weeks away… 😳 ( hands up if you’re heading there too)

Cue me disappearing behind piles of silver, polishing and a growing to-do list while I make all your favourites in time.
Every year I tell myself I’ll be more organised.
Every year August laughs in my face.
Wish me luck… and maybe send snacks!

If I lost all my jewellery and had to start my collection all over again the first pieces I’d choose would be along these lines…. a pair of hoops, a cuff or two, a simple everyday necklace and some stacker rings.
At first glance they’re beautifully simple. Then the light catches that solid silver and subtle twist and suddenly they’re doing far more.
They’re a great base to which you can then add to
I just had to add pics of these glorious dahlias… sadly can’t take credit for growing them… perks of house sitting!

Here’s a little selection of what’s left the workshop this week.

This week there’s a leaving gift for a work colleague, a necklace that’s finally been treated to after months of admiring it and a few new everyday favourites heading off to their forever homes.

I can’t help wondering where they’ll be worn first… to work, out for coffee, on holiday or simply popped on for a trip to the supermarket.
My only wish is that they’re much loved, worn often and never saved just for “best”.
So here’s to this week’s little send-off

Back to it after the ….here’s a little glimpse into the making of my solid silver Unstoppable Chunky Chain necklace and bracelet. Yes, you’re right, it’s the one you see me wearing the most!
This is a bit like watching a film trailer…
You see snippets but there’s a whole lot that ends up on the cutting room floor!
Not every stage made the edit….there’s only so much measuring, filing, sanding and final polishing anyone wants to watch 😂 but every step matters.

Hopefully this gives you a little peek into the process.
