Are you looking for something fun and free to do in Northampton over the summer holidays? 🎧🪩

On Thursday 27th August 2026 Weston Favell Library will be holding FREE 4 x 15 minute silent disco sessions for people to come and enjoy! ✨



Please note the following session times below:

Session 1: 11:00am - 11:15am

Session 2: 11:15am - 11:30am

Session 3: 11:30am - 11:45am

Session 4: 11:45am - 12:00pm



This is an in-person event where you’ll wear headphones and dance like nobody’s watching!

This is a ticketed event and we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your allotted session.

While you wait you will have an opportunity to take part in a free craft session! ✂

LAST WEEK THE DINOSAURS TOOK OVER WESTON FAVELL! 🦖

Nearly 500 of you joined us for Dino Quest, and we loved seeing so many families enjoying the Dino Slide, meeting Terence the Triceratops and getting involved in all the seaside fun!

Tomorrow is our FINAL Dino-Shore Adventures event of the summer, so make sure you’re here!

TRAINING EXERCISE 17/08/2026

We’ve had an incredibly busy few days with our crews attending a wide range of incidents across the county.

Thankfully today has been a little bit cooler, and a little calmer – and we’re able to take part in a pre-planned exercise with our partners at Weston Favell Shopping Centre this evening from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

So please do not be alarmed if you see some of our fire engines at the shopping centre tonight. This will be our crews testing our response and making sure we have the best possible plans in place to safely evacuate the centre should it ever be needed in the event of a fire.

With the demand that has been placed on us in recent weeks, we are reviewing potential training exercises on a case-by-case basis. Should we be required to deal with any largescale incidents this evening, then the exercise will be postponed, ensuring we have sufficient resources to keep the county safe.
