A common mistake people make when their trucks are too loose or spongy is to tighten or crank down on the bushings.

While this can temporarily fix the issue, long term it damages and lowers the life expectancy of the parts.

My advice would be to change them out for a harder durometer bushing. Or even consider the shape of your bushings.
