The next Royal Mail Celebrating Britain collector’s sheet is featuring Morecambe and Wise.

The stamps stay the same, but the artwork alongside them includes different moments from their TV shows.

I grew up watching the repeats and still think they’re completely iconic… even if a few jokes feel very from their era now.

I’ll be really interested to see what Royal Mail choose next for the series.

FUN FACT FRIDAY!!

This has nothing to do with stamps, but did you know, today is both Sausage Roll Day AND World Environment Day?!

World Environment Day is the most globally observed environmental holiday, established by the UN in 1973 and now observed in more than 143 countries.

Sausage Roll Day, however, was established in USA in 2015, but the sausage roll itself was invented in France in the 1600s!

Royal Mail have introduced a new collector’s sheet series called Celebrating Britain and the first release celebrated Jane Austen 📚

The stamps themselves had already been released before, but the collector’s sheet includes extra images connected to her life, clothing, jewellery and history.

I love the idea of celebrating British culture and history through stamps like this.

Collector’s sheets are a bit different to normal stamp sheets 👀

They’re usually A4-sized sheets with stamps alongside extra themed artwork or images. You can peel off the stamp and matching image together and use them on envelopes.

A lot of people new to stamp collecting have never seen these before, so here’s a quick explanation!
