Hey there everyone, a small but perfectly formed coming soon post this week headed up by an x-book double bill - read on!

DNX is a brand new Marvel Comics event from writer Jed MacKay and artist Federico Vicentini. The five-issue crossover teams the X-Men and Fantastic Four against the deadly X-Virus. #1 of this event comes with, yes you guessed it, blind bags! We all know how well they sell so if you want to guarantee getting one (or two!) of these then please, please do pre-order!

X-Men Hellfire Murder is a special one-shot comic from Marvel that kicks off a locked-room murder mystery set at the Hellfire Gala. The story follows Wolverine and Jubilee trying to solve the murder of a major mutant character (identity kept under wraps for now!) hosted by Sebastian Shaw. These x-specials are always popular so get your orders in now!

Dark Knights of Steel II is the highly anticipated sequel to DC's hit medieval-fantasy Elseworlds series. Written by Tom Taylor with art by Otto Schmidt, this series promises an epic saga focusing on power, betrayal, and a massive war rising from beneath the waves. I’m afraid I no longer have the list of who was having this title from the first series so you’ll need to let me know if you want this one.

And finally something a little different from superhero fare - The Patron is a highly anticipated new Ignition Press comic created by writer Christian Ward and artist John J. Pearson. This horror-noir series follows Mr. Cherish, a seemingly benevolent art dealer who secretly murders his artists to increase the value of their work. This one looks like it could be a lot of twisted fun!

Do A Powerbomb is the critically acclaimed, Eisner Award-winning comic series by Daniel Warren Johnson that blends professional wrestling with over-the-top, multi-dimensional fantasy. These up and coming Black & White editions present the original pen-and-ink linework without colors, if you’ve seen DWJ’s convention commissions then you know just how awesome his B&W art is! If you’ve never read Do A Powerbomb here’s the perfect opportunity to do so and if you’re a big fan then you get to experience it all over again in this new format!

Exquisite Corpses Rascal Randy

Now that season one of Exquisite Corpses has wrapped we can look forward to a few mini-series exploring some of the masked killers before season two arrives. First up is Rascal Randy, this mini delves into the origins of the cartoon-animal killer and blends the original Rascal Randy character’s origins in the 1920s with more recent murder sprees prior to the Exquisite Corpses series. Please note - we are NOT matching orders for this book so even if you had the original series you’ll need to let me know if you want this one.

Clayface Celebrity Dirt

Clayface Celebrity Dirt is a new noir horror comic from DC. This mini-series follows Batman villain Basil Karlo, a tragic actor who escapes Arkham only to find a mysterious body double has stolen his identity and achieved the massive Hollywood stardom he always wanted. Blending Hollywood noir and body horror this one looks like it could be a lot of fun. Get in now before the character is everywhere this Halloween in his own movie!

Predator vs Planet of the Apes

Predator vs The Planet of the Apes is an all-new comic book crossover event published by Marvel Comics written by Greg Pak with art by Alan Robinson. The story features an epic, three-way war between humans, apes, and a Predator set on the Planet of the Apes. I mean, c’mon, this is the kind of thing you’re only ever going to see in the pages of a comic!

100 Bullets US of Anger

100 Bullets US of Anger is a new miniseries series by original creators Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso. The noir crime thriller brings back the brutal character Lono, and is presented in striking black and white. 100 Bullets is one of my favourite crime comics of all time and I can’t wait to see how the original team handle this new story.

Minotaur

Minotaur is a techno-folk horror comic series created by writer Si Spurrier and artist Mike Dowling, from up and coming publisher Ignition Press. I’m a big Spurrier fan and think he does smart, snarky comics very well so hopes are high for this one!

Gambit Wanted

Gambit Wanted is a five-issue mini series written by Chris Claremont, with art by Robert Gill. Set during the era when Remy LeBeau first mets the X-Men, the series details his final pre-superhero adventure in New Orleans as he faces the assassin Bullseye and a rising anti-mutant threat. Fan favourite characters Gambit and Bullseye in the same story with Chris “Master of Accents” Claremont writing? Can you resist mon cheri?!

Sonic x Godzilla

The titles says it all really! It’s Sonic. It’s Godzilla. You’re either sold on that premise or you aren’t!!
