Another week, coming in on Friday , we have a selection of Military Walking out canes or Swagger sticks. These short canes were often carried by off duty soldiers. Often topped by ornately decorated tops ,sometimes in silver or even gold, they were frequently embellished with regimental badges and are well collected today. This selection include a very nice Suffolk Regiment one in silver ,hallmarked for 1910 and another rare example for the City Imperial Volunteers dated for 1900 when the regiment served in the South African war. The others are for the Coldstream Guards,Prince of Wales Own West Yorks Regiment and Beaumont OTC
Also in the militaria section I have another Military issue Legitimus Machete by Collins & Co of the USA. Produced for use by Canadian and Allied forces this one is marked for 1940 whist the leather scabbard has markings for Carson Co of Ottawa 1942. in good overall condition. Age checks and proof of ID may be required for this and all bladed items
