Hi, I think we could do with a bit of cheering up! Here are some truly beautiful prints I collected today.
50% of the marked price goes to a John Innes Centre nominated charity.
I have sold the Sunflower prints previously and I am still asked for them. Imagine my delight and getting more.
The Sunflower prints are professionally double-mounted and are 66cm tall x 56cm wide.
The sunflowers are £18 each and the others are £12 each. Remember that 50% goes to charity.
The sizes of the others are either:-
A - 60cm x 40cm or
B - 41cm x 31cm.
I have noted either "A" or "B" next to each image.
The quality of printing is superb and they are printed on heavy paper. The condition is excellent despite them being over 25 years old.
I hope you like them and get a chance to swing by to have a look!
I have put a few in my window.
My opening Times this week are: Weds 0930 to 3pm, Friday 0930 to 3pm and Saturday 0900 to 4.30.

Hi, it's December so here is an example of the sorts of maps and prints I have which may solve a Xmas present conundrum or two.
They range from a 368 year old map of Norfolk with mileage table ( 1st photo - very similar to the format seen in a modern road atlas - except this was printed only 8 years after the ex*****on of Charles I!) to a selection of original art and prints (engravings and lithographs).
I hope you find time to call in and browse!
I am open today (Thurs) until 3pm and Friday (0900 to 3pm) and Saturday (0900 to 4.30).

Hi, items of kitchenalia are very popular. I have just received a set of signed prints by local artist Nicola Ulldemolins which I hope you will like as much as I do! The originals are gouache on plywood and are 20cm x 20cm. Each signed print is £16.
I am open tomorrow from 0900 to 4.30 for you to peruse these and the rest of my stock of maps and prints.

Hi, here's a lovely old sea chart of Blakeney and Cley by Greenville Collins. It was printed in 1723 for "Great Britain's Coasting Pilot" as commissioned by Samuel Pepys (Diarist and at the time, Head of the Admiralty).
It is approx 51cm x 33cm.
At this time Blakeney was a substantial sea port and for a full understanding of its importance I would recommend reading Jonathan Hooton's book: "The Glaven".
I was intrigued by the bridge linking Blakeney to Cley and by its, what I thought, exagerated curvature. I put it down to symbolic, artistic licence but, having found a 1816 pictoral engraving in my shop of a view of Blakeney from Wiveton it clearly shows a very rounded bridge. Well, well...
I hope like it. For this original 302 year old map i am asking £125.
I am open now up until Xmas on:
Thurs - 9.30 to 3pm
Fri - 9.00 to 3pm
Sat - 9.00 to 4.30.

Update: This drawing has found a new home - SOLD
Hi, here's a gem you might like to see! It is a very large, framed, original pencil drawing of St.Giles, Norwich by the very well-known Norwich artist David Poole. It was drawn in 1982 from a 1960 photo. The quality is so good you can see figures and vehicles in the street.
Very helpfully the previous owner has written a very comprehensive explanation on the back which describes how the purchase was transacted and the background to the picture. It cost the buyer £300 back in 1982 but I am asking £180.00 o.n.o.
I hope it goes to a good home.
It is in my shop window as I type so please do swing by to check it out.
I am only open Saturday this week (school hols....) but can take emails if you have any questions about this or anything else I gave.

Hi, I don't normally sell porcelain but, I was given the opportunity to acquire these Royal Doulton pieces and I couldn't resist. All are in perfect condition. The Fortune Teller and Robin Hood are (I am told) quite rare. As for pricing - I looked on eBay for items that had sold and I have dramatically reduced my prices accordingly. Give me a nudge if you want to get in quick! What a day! One minute collecting beautiful ornaments and pictures and the next I am at a nursery stocking up on beautiful flowers for this weekend. I hope you like them.
I am open Thursday, Friday and Saturday although I am about tomorrow popping in and out of the shop if you would like to have browse.

At last! Gorgeous plants to brighten up the shop and street!
Snowdrops, mini daffs, red roses, white roses, yellow roses, Hyacinths, Aloes and climbing (indoor/outdoor) jasmine.
All in flower or about to burst forth....
I hope you agree they cheer the place up!

Hi, original 1985 Soviet Union Cold War map of "Norwich" in the Cyrillic alphabet. Government Use map. Although entitled "Norwich " it covers a lot of East Anglia including Cambridge and Ipswich. It is based on the maps of 1942 showing all the Allied air bases in the region.
Any bi-linguists able to shed any more light on the text?
These maps came as a bundle (all the same unfortunately) and I am offering them at £22.00 each.

Hi, I know these are hugely popular so I thought I would share with you. I received over sixty 1950's school posters this week in a range of plant and animal formats. Classics from yesteryear. Each poster is single sided and is 43cm x 53cm (17" x 21").
Each is £12.
I hope you like them!
Also, while I have you... I am expecting some Cold War Soviet Union maps of the Norfolk area any day. I'm told these too are "Top Secret" or "Restricted Government Use Only" I will check when they arrive. I'll post a picture when they get here.
Now the festive period is a memory I will be reverting to Thurs, Friday and Saturday opening. Tomorrow I am open from 0900 to 4.30pm.
