It is almost time for the 32nd Norwich Vintage & Modern Toy Fair which kicks off at 9.30am on Sunday March 8th at Norwich Mercure Hotel which is Boundary Rd, Norwich NR3 2BA (Oppsoite Asda and Ford Busseys).
Here is some info for those attending:-
The car park fills very quickly, but the area is 100% business/light industrial so lots of places to park very close to the hotel (none of the businesses there open on a Sunday).
It can get quite crowded for the first hour or 2 so we STRONGLY advise if you are not comfortable with crowds or worried in any way, to attend after 11am where it starts to get quieter. We have done what we can to extend some aisle width. It can also get warm so bring water, hand fans etc if needed.
The Usual stuff:-
The Toy Fair is situated in the City Suite at the front of the hotel BUT access is via the main Hotel entrance down the left side of the hotel. (Entrance cannot be seen from the front car park). This is shown with the Red Arrow Number 1 on image below. Once inside, the Toy Fair will be signed up, but head to the right corridors from the main entrance.
There are car parks which are down the left side, front and to the right of the hotel (This is shown by Red Arrow Number 2 on the image below). There is signs suggesting clamping of cars (unless you are using the hotel), this is operated by the hotel and it is perfectly fine to park on here, this has been confirmed by the hotel.
It is looking to be a mild March day, and if arriving for Early Bird the queue may lead you outside of the hotel so might be best to be prepared for this.
Please have entry fee ready, this is cash only for entrance (prices below).
Early Bird entry is 9.30am to 10.30am, this costs £5 for adults and £1 for Under 16's. A great chance to grab bargains and those one off rare collectables!
At 10.30 it is Standard entry, so £2 for adults, and FREE for Under 16's.
From 11.30am the entry is FREE TO EVERYONE.
The Toy Fair closes at 2pm and advise arriving before 1.30pm.
Norwich Star Wars Club are also attending so a great chance to grab some photos with your favourite heroes and villains!
Although some dealers will accept cards we advise bringing cash, there is a cash machine at Asda. We also recommend customers bring their own carrier bags.
Admiral Snackbar's will be back offering tea, coffee, soft drinks, crisps, snacks and chocolate, but there is also a Bar at the hotel. We are also offering Sausage rolls and pastries from a local chef.
We will have plenty of seating and tables to chill out, check out those purchases and wonder if you should go back and buy thatt that great figure!
We have a Tombola which is £1 for 3 tickets with some great prizes including Star Wars, GI Joe figures, Marvel figures, Transformers, My Little Pony and loads more!
There are around 60 sales tables, the sellers have everything from vintage toys and collectables to the latest releases but we cannot guarantee availability of any specific item or franchise ahead of the toy fair. Here is a selection of the toys and collectables you should find at the toy fair:- Star Wars, Pokemon, Transformers, Lego, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Pop Vinyls, Comics, Retro video Games, Action Man, My Little Pony, Disney, Die cast vehicles, models, MASK, HeMan, Thundercats, Trading cards, Super heroes Marvel & DC, Movie figures & loads loads more!
