Roy’s Crafts - Reloving Objects Yesterday Scraped

Hello and welcome to Roy’s Crafts, the home of transforming castaway items into beautiful pieces to be loved again.

My name is Skye and I am passionate about finding potential in abandoned, discarded, unexpected items and with a little hard work and imagination, transform them into unique works of timeless beauty.

My aim is to transform these unique pieces of work by using materials that have been cast away such as unwanted paint, wallpaper, fabric etc and use minimal new materials.

I craft for all seasons - Christmas, Easter, Summer nights and Autumn falls - as well as Children’s décor, Wedding pieces, Birthday gifts and unique one off pieces for the house.

All these beautiful pieces are lovingly made in the quaint village of Pulham St Mary in rural Norfolk.

So who is Roy’s Crafts?

Roy’s Crafts is named in memory of my dad Roy who died from Oesophageal cancer in 2015, at the age of 58. My dad loved having ago at building and making stuff. He made all sorts from fences to a stable that looked like a Swiss holiday cottage. He created objects from nothing.

When it came to selling, my dad could sell snow to Eskimos. He was my very own Del Boy.

After he was diagnosed we use to chat and plan about coming together and make and sell our crafts after he finished his treatment. Unfortunately, that never happened. So, in his honour I changed my craft name and now pushing on with our plan.

What is the story behind the logo?

The story behind the little girl with the pink ribbon logo - When my dad died, we had to explained to our children what had happened. My daughter asked if we could tie a pink ribbon to his hand so we could pull him down from Heaven. So the little girl is my daughter pulling the “y” of my dad Roy, down to Earth.
