Four precious memory bears created from clothes from a beautiful soul taken too soon.

Made from a dressing gown and pleather trousers amongst other clothes who was a Wham loving doggie owner.

I hope the recipients love and cherish these cuddly button jointed bears for many years to come.

I always feel such responsibility when making bears from precious clothes to make sure I do justice to the person being remembered. Each bear is bespoke and adapted to each person. Each bears face is hand embroidered and has its own unique little character.

Christmas Crafternoon in the cabin

I had the pleasure of hosting a mini workshop in the cabin yesterday for my daughter and her friends. They had a joyful afternoon of sewing, sticking and drawing. They made a gingerbread felt decoration drawn with chalk paint, and a cute gingerbread jar lantern also using chalk paint, fake snow and fairy lights. They also made a little gift for their Mum which I can't share so not to spoil the surprise. My daughter had decorated our tree with handmade and nostaglic decorations we've had over the ideas.

It was a lovely way to end the term crafting together as one of the girls said it was so relaxing and great for mindfulness.

Really looking forward to hosting workshops in my cabin in 2026 so watch this space..

Wonderful night at the preview evening at Black Shuck Festival exhibition at The Bell Gallery.

So many talented artists and a vast array of different styles and subjects. Happy I managed to snap Black Shuck himself having refreshments next to my artwork.

So pleased with how my greeting cards turned out from Gowise Print. Love using local suppliers as I think you get a much more bespoke and friendly service. The cards come with brown recycled envelopes in compostible cello bags. These will be available at the Black Shuck Festival exhibition at The Bell Gallery from 1st to 16th August. Plus I have some beautiful original sized art prints also for sale.

I'm excited to share my illustration piece, created for the Black Shuck Festival, taking place from August 1st to 3rd in Bungay, Suffolk. This artwork will be part of an exhibition showcasing Norfolk and Suffolk folklore-inspired work at The Bell Gallery in Bungay from July 31st to August 16th. You'll have the opportunity to purchase prints, cards, and my original piece.

The folklore of Norfolk's Hikey sprites is shrouded in mystery, describing them as elf or fairy-like beings that inhabit woodlands, fens, and heathlands. While some view them as wicked creatures that lured children after dark, others believe they are kind beings that help children find their way home. Interestingly, some people even believe they can transform into birds.

In my illustration, I've depicted a Hikey Sprite that loves nature and embodies kindness.

Black Shuck Festival

On the grid today, something to bring colour to your life. Another of my patchwork bears found over at FuzzypegFolk in Bungay.

All the colours of the rainbow 🌈 all the clashing colours and a hand embroidered paw pad.

Have really enjoyed working with bright colours 😀 it really has brought me joy.

This, like my other bears, is button jointed and the face is hand embroidered so each bear is unique.

My colourful patchwork bear 💛🩵💙

Made with all the clashing patterns. Stripes, spots and vintage flowers. With a hand embroidered paw pad and embroidered face. He is button jointed and would look beautiful sat on a nursery self or anyone who loves bears. He is finished with a stripey bow.

Sold as a decorative item and not suitable for children under 14 years of age.

I was commissioned by the lovely Katherine at FuzzypegFolk to make three different bears in the brightest of fabric. They can be purchased from the beautiful FuzzypegFolk shop in lovely Bungay.

I am also taking commissions for memory bears based on this pattern.

Leaping into Spring....my colourful hares would brighten anyone's day.

These hares are the perfect Easter decoration or can be hung all year round.

I love seeing boxing Hares in March and on country walks we often look for hares in the deep furrows in fields. Hares typically have their leverets between March and July.

Hares have a mystical presence about them and have often been featured in folklore. From a symbol of fertility, good fortune to shapeshifters and witchcraft and most commonly a symbol of Spring and new beginnings.

These hares are newly stocked at FuzzypegFolk , which opens today until 4 pm in Bungay Suffolk.

What says Easter more than chicks and Hens.

Here's my interpretation.....hens in bright zingy colours, folky vibes, and funky embroidery with a nod to the 1960s. Newly stocked at FuzzypegFolk

I'm really happy with now they turned out. A lovely edition to an Easter scheme or why not hand it up all year round.

Green, orange red or blue. Which one is your favourite?

I'm also thinking of making these into kits so you can sew one yourself at home using these simple stitches, straight stitch, French knots, blanket stitch, lazy daisy stitch and satin stitch.

Can't believe Easter is less than a week away!

More felt decorations available at FuzzypegFolk

This time, beautiful rose felt hearts. Inspired by gypsy caravans and the beautiful romantic decorations found in them. I love this aesthetic. These decorations would make a lovely gift for a loved one to hand on a wardrobe door or a door handle, and these bright colours give cheer to anyone receiving it.

All the hearts are lovingly hand embroidered using blanket, satin, chain, fern, and star stitch.

It's been a while since I've posted on here....

I've been really busy behind the scenes hand sewing these joyful Matryoshka dolls for a wonderful new shop opening in Bungay on 16th April. FuzzypegFolk is a stunning red shop stocking beautiful folk inspired toys, homeware, stationery and gifts from here in the UK and across Europe.

Fuzzypegfolk's lovely owner Katherine ordered a few of my felt handmade decorations and bears. Now they have been delivered. I will be sharing what's available to buy here.

Each of these dolls is lovingly hand embroidered using the soft test of felt made from wool and viscose. All in the brightest of colourways to lift your mood. All dolls are my own patterns and designs. Look out for more items over the coming days.......
